LCD and TEC Controller:
The TEC controller has a brushed black aluminum face with chromed accents. In the middle is the LCD (which will be covered later). Flanking the LCD are two buttons; one that controls the color of the LCD and one that controls the temperature format (Fahrenheit or Celsius). The back of the controller is metal with some air vents to allow the components to cool. This area is where the connections are made to the TEC cooler. On the right is a standard 4-pin Molex connection, while on the left there is a 6-pin and a 2-pin connector. The 6-pin connector will provide power to the fan and temperature readings, while the 2-pin cable will provide power to the TEC portion of the cooler.
 
The cover comes off just like a power supply's, and the images below show that there is a good deal of empty space inside. There are two PCB that are connected by two cables (4-pin and 2-pin). The front PCB is unremarkable, and is used to control the LCD and front buttons. The back PCB is also fairly plain, and is where the connections come in from the external cables.
 
Accessories:
As with any CPU cooler there are accessories required (mounting brackets, thermal paste, instruction sheets, etc), and Ultra Products has packed them all into the ChillTec Thermo Electric CPU Cooler box.
Ultra Products has provided everything for AMD K8 and AM2, as well as Intel 775 motherboards. Each of the three different mounting brackets has a custom back plate, so access to the back of the motherboard is required (one of the things I hate). In the top row of the image below we have a single use tube of thermal paste, backplate protectors, and a well documented instruction manual. In the second row we have an assortment of screws, and the custom backplates (K8, AM2 and 775). In the third row we have a 4-pin Molex pass-through power cable and CPU brackets to attach the CPU to the backplate (K8, AM2, 775). Ultra Products provides the cable shown below to connect the CPU to the TEC controller. I found this cable to be sufficiently long to reach all 5.25" drive bays in my Thermaltake Eureka case.
