Packaging:
The Ensemble's packaging is shown below, and the first thing you might note is that color definitely wasn't a priority for Tuniq. The front of the rather large, black box features an image of the black power supply, and on the back there is a list of some of the power supply's key features.
The box's extra size is in part necessary to accommodate the oversized power supply, but it also allows Tuniq to give the Ensemble one of the best packing jobs I have seen. The unit is protected with a foam sheet and two foam blocks, while the cables are all bundled on one end, and the accessories are all stored in their own cardboard box.
The Basics:
Prior to seeing the actual power supply, I thought it had a flat black finish due to what I had seen online. What it actually has is a brushed finish which adds a bit of visual interest, as well as making the black look a bit metallic from certain angles.
What we see in the images below is that there is a 135mm that draws air in from the case, and an 80mm fan exhausts it out the back. The overall length of the power supply is 220mm, so owner's of smaller cases should measure before buying a unit like this since the typical ATX power supply is about 60mm shorter.
