Sungale Your Bluetooth Link! Car Kit
March 12, 2007

Conclusion:

The Sungale Your Bluetooth Link! Car Kit could be just the thing for anyone looking for a low cost way to add the convenience and safety of a Bluetooth speaker phone to their car. Despite the minor hiccup during setup, the unit proved to be quite easy to use, reliable, and capable of decent audio quality. From the time the box was opened, it was only a matter of minutes before I was making calls, and unlike many I even bothered to read (the important parts of) the manual!

The three issues I documented were fairly minor and could possible be overcome. The first was that the speaker hisses when powered on, and it is easily audible in a quiet setting, such as sitting in a idling car. The second was that despite significant efforts, my previously programmed voice dialing commands just wouldn't work with the speaker phone. The third was that all custom ring tones are replaced with a generic ring, eliminating the caller ID like function that ring tones can serve.

Geeks.com tags the Sungale Your Bluetooth Link! Car Kit with a price of $27.95. The inventory at Geeks.com is fairly dynamic and you can't necessarily count on them always being in stock, but it is always worth checking. They do carry a good number of other Bluetooth items, as well as wide selection of computer and consumer electronic goodies. A search of PriceGrabber doesn't turn up any matches for the Sungale item reviewed, but looking there and elsewhere reveals that the Geeks.com price is quite attractive for such a device.

The performance of the Sungale Your Bluetooth Link! Car Kit is solid, and the low price from Geeks.com helps it earn the Bigbruin.com "Good Value" award.
