Sungale Your Bluetooth Link! Car Kit
March 12, 2007

Packaging:

The packaging for the Sungale Your Bluetooth Link! Car Kit is simple yet effective, and is a blister pack that doesn't actually have to be destroyed in order to extract the product! The clear bubble gives you a good look at the product while providing adequate protection, and it lists a deal of useful information on the front panel.

The Basics:

Inside the box there are just three items; the Bluetooth adapter, a user's manual, and an adapter that will allow for larger bore cigarette lighters to be used.

The device is physically rather simple; featuring an ovular body that houses the speaker, the small microphone projecting from one end, and the 12V power connection (with fuse) projecting from the other end. The overall dimensions are 57mm×19mm×23mm, making the overall length roughly two and a quarter inches. It may appear bulky in images, and my initial concerns were that it would be way too big to be practical, but it is actually rather compact. Plastic is the primary material of construction, and black accents look like they may be rubber grips on the grey body, but in fact it is all the same smooth plastic.

As far as controls are concerned, the Sungale Your Bluetooth Link! Car Kit is extremely simple in appearance, which can lead to difficulties in operation. There is a blue multi-function button, a green indicator LED, and a volume control dial. Although this design keeps the layout simple, all functions are controlled by the one button, which might get messy (but, that will be tested and confirmed/denied).

The 'stem' that plugs into your cigarette lighter (12V outlet) is hinged at the base of the speaker phone's body and allows the angle to be adjusted to best suit your installation. Range of motion is about ninety degrees, and the movement isn't free, allowing it to be locked in place at a variety of positions within the range.
