Benchmarking (continued):
Results of the SiSoft Sandra 2007 memory test are shown below. At 900MHz (4-4-4-12) the Super Talent outperforms the Crucial memory by about 1%. Overclocking the Super Talent memory to 1075MHz at 4-4-4-12 timings gives a negligible performance increase of about another 1% over stock speeds and timings.
Next, 3DMark 2006 was run to verify if overall gaing/system performance was impacted with the system memory running at different speeds and timings. As shown below, all of the tests were quite close, and are all within less than 1% of each other. It should be noted 3DMark 2006 was the only benchmark to suggest better performance is netted when you run the Super Talent memory at its default speeds of 1000MHz and 5-5-5-15 timings.
The final benchmark used to test the Super Talent memory was PC Wizard 2007. As you can see in the results below, the Super Talent memory appears to perform better each time the memory bus speed was increased regardless of timings. Once again there was very little difference in system performance when running at anything over stock speeds.
