External Examination (continued):
In the image below we see the driver's side of the Shag Wagon, which has the logo for Smooth Creations U.S.A. This is the company that handles the custom painting of the CSX line for Cooler Master, and they have used this opportunity to incorporate seem free advertising. While it does seem to fit the theme of the case, and you might believe that this was some sort of corporate delivery van, I would have preferred that the side was left blank. Or perhaps more windows could have been painted on to continue the theme of the version seen at CES 2008.
In addition to looking rather convincing from a distance, up close the finish is very shiny and feels smooth like an actual automobile. I wonder if you just dust it off, or if you polish a case like this?
The below left image shows the front of the case, which reveals that the VW logo has been replaced by a peace sign, for what I would assume are obvious legal reasons. While the proportions of a case might not work perfectly for the front of a van, it still looks great. This is in large part thanks to the attention to detail on things like variations in the reflectivity of the chrome, shading of the windshield, and depth given to objects like the bumper and the lights.
The above right image shows the back of the case, which you really can't tie into the theme found on the other sides. The paint job is continued to the edge of the side and top panels, but the rest of this area is as you would find it on a typical Stacker 830. Typical may not be the word for the Stacker 830 anyway, as you are treated to nice features like tool-less side panel removal, a tool-less removable motherboard tray, a removable power supply mounting bracket, and a 120mm fan for cooling.
