Packaging:
The case and its exceptional paint job were well protected for the journey. As shown below, the case was double boxed with a massive brown box concealing the retail style packaging inside.
Styrofoam blocks were placed on each corner, and the black box arrived perfectly clean and without a single scratch. Large CSX and Cooler Master logos are found on the sides, and the specific model found inside is identified by a color label in the upper left corner.
The case is further protected from damage by more styrofoam, a plastic bag, and then finally by the soft cloth bag shown below. I have seen higher end cases come in bags like this before, but the quality of this one is pretty high considering the material used, stitching, and embroidery.
External Examination:
With all of the attention to detail paid on the packaging, it was no surprise that the case arrived in perfect condition and the paint job looked incredible. The images below show the passenger's side of the Shag Wagon which features a larger window. You expect the plastic on the actual window to have a high shine, but the finish is so glossy that even the painted on van windows provide an excellent reflection. Even though the van I owned was a much later model, authentic details such as the two-tone paint, wheels with moon hub caps, and even the lights remind me of those good old days.
One oddity I noticed after looking at the case as shown above is that behind the side window is a grid that would support up to four case fans. In addition to being an ineffective location for fans since the side has no ventilation, the grid obscures the view of internal components. Even though the grid can be eliminated, after seeing the other side of the case I would have definitely preferred that both sides were solid.
