Packaging:
The Rosewill RDF-670B 7" Widescreen Digital Photo Frame is sold in the cardboard box with plastic carrying handle shown below. While it does identify the brand, product, and a few key details, the packaging looks rather generic.
Inside the box, a molded tray keeps everything in place. The digital photo frame is protected from scratches in a foam envelope, and the balance of the items included are sealed in plactic bags.
The Basics:
The frame itself is rather attractive, that is unless you have a strong aversion to wood grain finished plastic. While I would prefer something a bit more modern, the wood finish looks somewhat authentic and might blend in well with other typical photo frames.
The black inner frame around the seven inch widescreen LCD resembles double matting on a traditional frame, right down to the beveled edges.
The give away that this isn't your typical frame (if you've actually been tricked up to this point), is the shiny black dot in the upper right corner of the matting which serves as the sensor for the included remote control. From the back we see that the frame is rather shallow, but obviously deeper than a normal photo frame. There is an adjustable 'kick-stand' that allows for use in portrait or landscape orientations, a pair of speaker grills, and all of the necessary controls and connections.
