Sunbeamtech Quarterback ATX Case
July 31, 2007

Testing:

The test system installed inside of the Sunbeamtech Quarterback ATX Case consisted of the following components:

» Intel E6400 processor
» ECS G33T-M2 motherboard
» 2GB (2x1024MB) OCZ DDR2 8500 SLI RAM
» 2 eVGA 7900GTO video cards in SLI
» OCZ Evostream 600W Power Supply
» 2x 80GB Hitachi Deskstar SATA 3Gbps hard drives
» 1x 250GB Seagate 7200.9 SATA 3Gbps hard drive
» Pioneer DVR-212DBK SATA DVD/CDRW
» 6-in-1 Media Card reader
» Cooler Master CoolDrive IV
» Fans: 1x120mm LED; 3x120mm Non-LED

The case's cooling performance in different configurations were compared to each other in order to see what impact the Core Fans had. As shown below, there is an obvious difference in load temperatures, while the idle temperatures barely moved.

Since I was able to use both Core Fan units, I also monitored the video card temperatures. The 7900GTO has always run warm, so the temperatures did not surprise me. What did surprise me was the 2.4 degrees Celsius difference in load temperatures.
