Overclocking:
Overclocking the memory presented me with an interesting dilemma, I had no way to push the memory farther at an FSB of 267Mhz because the largest memory multiplier my system supported was 2x (1:2). This means that any results I achieved really couldn't be compared with the previous benchmarks. In the end I decided to just push the Memory and CPU as high as I could and combine these benchmarks with the previous OCZ Reaper results. This should provide a good illustration of why enthusiasts choose to pay a premium for high performance RAM.
The next series of charts will take a look at the same benchmarks executed previously, but now with the OCZ memory run at 533MHz, 1066MHz, and at 1174MHz. All timing information is provided in the charts.
The first chart revisits Everest Ultimate Edition. The true power of performance memory begins to become apparent. It allows you to release the beast within your system.
Moving on to 3DMark06 we see that despite the large increase in system and memory speeds, it is still relatively unaffected.
