The Basics:
The Gold series of OCZ Technology DDR3 is not their "top of the line" memory, however that does not mean it isn't high performance, enthusiast grade memory. The memory is surrounded by a Gold colored XTC heatspreader intended to keep the memory cool and to give it a high quality look.
Each of the memory modules in the kit is labeled to show the brand, model, speed, timings, and part number. In this case, we have model OCZ3G13332GK, which is a DDR3 1333MHz 2GB (2x1GB) Dual Channel Kit, with timings of 9-9-9-26 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS).
A heatspreader will not do the module any good if it does not make good contact with the memory chips. The next image attempts to show that there are no gaps between the chips and the heatspreader.
As DDR3 is fairly new to the desktop environment, it is interesting to note that it uses the same number of pins as DDR2 (240). The difference is where the key (notch) is placed. In the images below the different spacing of the key is easily noticable.
