Installation:
If you have ever installed a SATA hard drive, this installation will be extremely simple for you. First, attach the power and SATA data cables, then place the hard drive onto the tray. It is a tight fit, so make sure you route the power and data cables so they are out of the way. Then flip the tray over and secure the drive using the four included screws.
You're almost done. Simply slide the tray back into the enclosure, replace the backplate, and secure it with the thumbscrews. When sliding the tray into the enclosure, be sure you align the tray with the guides in the enclosure.
The last thing to do is to connect the power, and your selected data cable. Power on the unit and Windows (XP or Vista) will automatically detect the enclosure.
Software:
Installing software is normally quite easy. However, I had problems with the one touch back-up software (PCClone EX Lite) installation. During the installation the buttons did not make sense, and would have some odd text on them. Guessing how the buttons should be, I was able to get the software to install successfully. This error occurred in both Windows XP Pro and Windows Vista Ultimate.
