Kingwin EL-35EU-SBL Elite USB 2.0 and eSATA Drive Enclosure
|
The Basics:
In the next image we see a picture of all the included hardware and accessories laid out for display. Kingwin provides everything you need to get the drive enclosure up and running with either USB2.0 or e-SATA (With the exception of the hard disk drive, of course).
The enclosure's base is made of clear acrylic with several opaque rubber pads to hold the drive firmly in the base, as well as to keep it from sliding around on your desk.
The enclosure is essentially an aluminum body with two chrome trimmed plastic end caps. The aluminum body has a very nice brushed appearance and is accented with some blue plastic trim on the top and bottom. The word Elite is stenciled in black along one side of the enclosure.
The front end cap is a darkened plastic with chrome trim and has an opaque Kingwin logo near the top. The back of the enclosure is where all the connections reside, and it is also the location of the power switch and one touch back up button. This end cap is also chrome plated plastic, but has a thin black metal plate flush mounted on the rear. This plate has the cut outs for all the connections, as well as for the back up button and power switch. All are labeled clearly with white lettering.
As you can see from the image below, this logo lights up with a cool blue color when the drive enclosure is powered up, however it does not flash with hard drive activity.
