The Basics:
Removing the Thermalright HR-05 IFX SLI chipset cooler from the package is easy enough, and it was immediately clear that this thing is huge! The square base that makes contact with the chipset is 30mm by 30mm, and the heatpipes and cooling fins are wide as well as tall (62.5mm x 105mm). You can see the fins are neatly spaced and extend past the two heatpipes on either side.
 
The base of the cooler is very shiny and flat, so it should make good contact with the chipset. Looking at the bottom part of the "Wild Fire" reveals that they are a little pointy, so be careful not to poke yourself.
On the upper side of the base you can see a small circular indentation which is for the mounting clip to nestle into for installation.
 
From the side view you can see the profile of the aluminum fins, and that the heatpipes extend a bit beyond the top of the fins.

The extras that accompany the Thermalright HR-05 IFX SLI include a quick install leaflet, a large Thermalright logo sticker, and mounting hardware. Taking a closer look at the include hardware, we have some zip ties, a square cushion pad, 80mm fan clips, clips / screws for mounting the unit, and a big syringe of thermal paste.
