Cooler Master Real Power Pro 1000W Power Supply
|
Conclusion:
The 1000W Cooler Master Real Power Pro is a great choice for anyone who wants to future proof their system in the power supply department. This unit should be able to handle a high end system with multiple processors and graphics cards without running up your electric bill thanks to the high efficiency and active power factor correction.
The results from the testing portion of the review show that this unit is more than capable of handling a decent system with an overclocked dual core Intel processor and a higher end Nvidia GeForce 8800 series graphics card. In reality it would be capable of handling much more, and may get the chance to do so as there should be no need to upgrade the power supply even if the other system components are upgraded significantly.
There was only one thing I found missing from this unit, and that is a power on/off switch. I can't remember the last power supply that did not have the power on/off switch, and it really comes in handy .
A search of PriceGrabber shows a few results for the Cooler Master Real Power Pro 1000W power supply. A few familiar retailers carry it for as little as $249.99 (US), which isn't too bad for a high quality 1000W unit. I wouldn't say that it is a bargain, but for a power supply that should last for a while it is a good purchase.
The Cooler Master Real Power Pro 1000W power supply receives the Bigbruin.com "Highly Recommended" award for the high quality build and operation of the unit.
