Testing (continued):
Company of Heroes - Opposing Fronts:
Company of Heroes - Opposing Fronts also includes a benchmark for testing the DirectX 10 capabilities of your system as it relates to game play. Testing used a resolution of 1680x1050 and 8X anti-aliasing. Results in terms of minimum, maximum, and average frame rate values are provided, and higher is better for all three. I think it is time to drop this game from the testing line up, as it distinguishes nothing.
Call of Juarez:
Call of Juarez is yet another 3D game to offer a benchmark for analyzing DirectX 10 performance. The results are provided in terms of minimum, maximum, and average frame rate values, and higher is better for each. The results in the chart below were achieved with the system set to a resolution of 1680x1050 and the anti-aliasing was set to 4X. While the results were duplicated for confirmation, something just seems funky about the single GPU Toxic HD4870 in this test. If you remove its results from the chart, you see a clear line of improvement from the dual HD3870 cards in CrossFire, to the HD4850 X2, to the Atomic HD4870 X2.
