The Basics:
The pearly white version of the ASUS EEE PC 4G 701 netbook was sent over for review, but in the Geeks.com inventory of netbooks they regularly have the same unit in black or pink, too.
The images below show the review sample in all of its "like new" glory. As with the accessories, there were no outward sides of this unit every being used by anyone else. The only thing that tipped me off to it being refurbished was that a sticker on the bottom indicated the warranty was "3M", or three months long.
The bulk of the housing is constructed of white plastic, with all of the essential connections located on either the left or right side. In the closed position, the chromed left/right mouse button may look like a lid release, but it is not necessary to press there while trying to open the EEE PC 4G 701 for use.
The below left image shows the left side of the netbook, where we see an RJ-45 LAN connection, a modem port (not supported), a USB 2.0 connection, a vent for the internal cooling fan, a microphone jack, and a headphone jack. The below right image shows the right side of the netbook, where we see an MMC/SD media card slot, two more USB 2.0 slots, a 15-pin VGA connection, and a slot for a cable lock. While there may not be an integrated CD, DVD, or floppy, there are a handful of connections to allow an external version to be connected.
The backside of the netbook is not shown in detail, but the only connections found back there are for the AC power adapter and the battery.
