Internal Features:
By removing four screws you can open the power supply casing, void your warranty, and see the internal components of the power supply.
The layout of this power supply is very similar to other Ultra Products power supplies. Since this unit is modular, there is a connector panel that distributes the power to the modular plugs that you won't find on some others.

On the left, is a close-up of the modular 24-pin motherboard connection, and the fan connector. The 24-pin motherboard connector uses a connector exactly like the one that attaches to the motherboard. The fan connector is fairly standard, however it is not the normal 3-pin connector, instead it is the same type of mini fan plug that is used on video cards. It is possible to replace the fan, just be prepared to modify the connector. In the image on the right you can see the connection to the modular power distribution panel.

The fan inside the power supply is a little different than I've seen before. On past Ultra Products power supplies, they used a piece of plastic to cover a portion of the fan. This time, that piece of plastic is built into the fan housing. I was impressed when I turned on the power supply as I had to verify the fan was rotating since I wasn't able to hear it at all, even after disabling all the other fans in my system. While a LED fan wouldn't increase/decrease the performance, it would give it a little extra "bling". The fan is not a LED fan, which I would like to see.
