The Basics (continued):
Sliding the hard drive into the rest of the enclosure, you secure it with two screws. Once that is done, you're all set up and ready to start using the drive.
The aluminum enclosure has a sleek and classic look to it, with a black mirror finish and chrome colored accents. On the side you can see here, it shows the logo and the connection labels. The reverse side is blank except for four little rubber feet, if you decide to lay it flat. Once you turn the unit on, the Vantec logo on the front of the enclosure will flash when the hard drive is accessed.
Here you can see the two screws you use to attach the drive cage to the enclosure. More importantly you can see all the various external connections. You have an on/off rocker switch, AC power, eSATA, and USB connections.
Finally, let's take a quick look at the accessories that Vantec has included. They were sure to include everything you would need; a USB cable, stand, AC power, screws, and even included a SATA to eSATA pci bracket.
