Like most of Cooler Master's products, the Real Power 550W comes packaged in a bright purple and white retail box that would grab your attention if it was sitting on a shelf.
As with any good retail packaging, the box gives you plenty of information on what you will find inside. The front of the box gives you just a tease of the power supply visually, while the real information is located on the sides and back. The back side shows you some pictures of the various connections and other features of the power supply.
 
Finally, both of the sides of the box provides you with an overview of the features and specifications.
 
Opening the box reveals a fitted crate that keeps the power supply secure during shipment. If this kind of packaging can keep your eggs from cracking, it should be more than enough to ensure your new power supply is undamaged. Removing the manual and unfolding the flaps on the crate reveals that the power supply is also packed in a plastic bag with the cables secured away from the housing to avoid rubbing or scratching. The power display interface seems to have been added after the design of the packaging since there was no specific place for it.
