Cooler Master Real Power 550W Power Supply

When you hear the name Cooler Master, most likely you immediately think of a company that specializes in cooling products. While that is not inaccurate, they also make other computer components, including cases and power supplies. Cooler Master has sent over a new addition to their Real Power line of power supplies geared towards mini servers, workstations and gaming machines. This new power supply is rated at 550W, a sizable increase over the previous 450W. There are actually two versions of this power supply. One is designed for SLI configurations, while the other is not. I will be looking at the Real Power 550 - RS-550-ACLY (which is not the SLI version).


Before jumping into the review, let's take a look at some of the published data on the Real Power 550W Power Supply taken from the Cooler Master website...
