Raidmax RX-9 ATX Gaming Case
January 24, 2006

Most computer enthusiasts have heard of Raidmax, with good reason. Raidmax has been building cases and accessories such as power supplies and CPU coolers since 2000, and has recently started making a name for themselves in the gamers' market with cases such as the Samurai , the Ninja and the recent Sagitta. Continuing their tradition of introducing innovative new case designs, Raidmax has introduced the RX-9, offered in both black and red. Let's take a look at the RX-9 and see whether it is a worthy addition to Raidmax's case line-up.

Packaging:

The RX-9 is packaged in a heavy duty cardboard box. The box is more than sufficient for shipping, however my box did suffer some minor damage. On each of the sides there were indentations, but nothing pierced the box. As with Raidmax's other case boxes, this one is designed for a retail setting and provides a sufficient amount of information on what the case looks like.

Inside the box, the RX-9 is packed between two foam blocks that do a great job at making sure the case is not damaged during shipping. Raidmax has also packed the case inside a plastic bag, and although I have seen some minor scratches from these plastic bags in the past, the RX-9 arrived without unharmed. In order to keep the bag from moving, and to help avoid any damage, the RX-9 has two foam blocks that fit around the case very tightly.
