Inspection:
As with most packaging, the box is designed for the retail shelf. It has nice eye-catching graphics and provides ample information for the end user to know what they are purchasing. Packaging does not do much for me, as when I am purchasing something I pretty much know what I want and which to get. However, if you were in a retail setting and not sure what makes this a good power supply, there is plenty of information on the top and sides to let you know.
Opening the box, you get your first look at the power supply, nicely wrapped in a plastic. There is very little movement possible, as there are two boxes and the 5.25" power station that prevents it from moving.
On the top of the unit you are able to see the voltage details. You can see that the max the rails will put out is 30A, and it provides a total of 520W of power, 550W peak.
On the side that will face the inside of the standard case layout, they have placed a nice metal sticker that gives a little bit of detail about the unit.
On the bottom of the power supply, you can see the big 120mm fan, which is protected by a plain grill. Once I crack the case, it might be possible to replace the fan with a different model, or even replace the grill with a custom one.
