Thermaltake Purepower Power Express 250W SLI PSU
|
First Impression:
The Purepower Power Express 250W (model W0099RU) arrived in a slightly damaged box. Below we see the front of the package illustrating the small power supply connected to an SLI system. The second image shows the small dent apparently received during shipping.
Inside the box we find a well wrapped power supply. Digging deeper into the package another box is found that contains a "power cord & 24pin adapter", below is a picture in case you didn't believe me.
A Closer Look:
Now let's take a closer look at what you receive with the Thermaltake Purepower Power Express 250W.
Inside the bubble wrap is a 5.25" power supply that claims to be good up to 250W. From this small power supply we see 4 cords coming out of the back, two of which are 6 pin PCI-Express connectors, the others include a signal wire and a power cord that connects through a PCI slot.
The bottom of the power supply has a load rating sticker showing a DC rating of 21 Amps with a peak load of 25 Amps and a 250W total power rating. The image on the right shows a metal screen with the words "Power Express" written in the center, this along with a power button and 3 indicator LEDs create the front of the supply.
