External Examination:
I will not be covering the packing of the Pertelian, as it arrived in a shipping box, not in the official retail packaging. The review was arranged for us by our friends at CrazyPC, but the sample shipped straight from ForeSight Systems without all the extras you would get in a retail package. Pertelian did include some promotional documentation that shows the retail packaging, and it looks like it will provide all the information an end user would need to know before purchasing.
In the below left picture you can see the front of the Pertelian device. It is roughly 3/4 the size of a piece of DDR memory, and the actual size is 4.25" X 2.6" X 1" (L X W X H). There are no buttons, switches, or dials on the device, only the LCD screen, which is protected by a piece of plastic. In the below right picture you can see the back of the unit which is again plain. The only thing to notice are the two slots at the base of the unit. These slots are used to place the Pertelian into its stand.
Pertelian has included a stand to keep the device upright. This is only a stand, nothing to get excited about.
In the picture below we have the device in the stand, and as you can see it rests at a 10 degree angle, so the LCD screen will be easily viewable. However, if you do not have a place to put it when it is in the stand, Pertelian has included a piece of velcro so you can place it at any height.
