Installation:
Installation is not very difficult, but it will take a little time, and you will need to remove your motherboard in order to use the custom backplates. I did try to use the stock backplate on the Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard, however I was unable to get the brackets tightened down.
After you have installed the backplate and the support braces (if required), you will want to have the cooler prepped. This will require you to install the mounting brackets onto the base. Here you can see the brackets installed for mounting on the Asus M2N32-SLI motherboard, which uses an AMD AM2 CPU.
Here you can see the fan attached to the cooler, this will need to be removed in order to secure the cooler to the brackets. In the second picture you can see how the fan bracket is attached, the sides of the fins have a notch which allows the bracket to be securely mounted without any screws.
Once it's all installed, turn it on and see it in operation. As you can see in the second picture, the fan is a quad blue LED fan. The LEDs are a vibrant blue, although they are not bright enough to light up your entire case.
After the installation, I noticed that the cooler came rather close to some of the components in the area. In this first picture you can see how close the heat pipes come to my RAM. If you look on the left, you can see there is ample room to the left of the cooler where the Northbridge heat pipe is. The second picture shows the other side of the cooler and the Asus Northbridge heat pipe. This type of tight fit will be dependant on your specific motherboard, so it will hold no bearing on the final rating..
