The Basics:
Below you can see the memory modules removed from the packaging. They were undamaged in transit, and as you can see the XTC heat spreader is simliar to other OCZ memory modules. The biggest visual change between this RAM and other OCZ RAM is the "camo motif". While the color does not enhance the performance of the memory, if you are putting together a system with a military theme, this would be perfect. Otherwise, the color of the RAM has no immediate impact to me, and I will not be taking that into consideration. However, it is cool to have something different.
Each module includes a sticker on one side that details the model information and the basics of the memory's timings. As you can see here, the part number is OCZSOE4002GK, and they are rated as PC3200, 1GB Dual Channel, with 2.5-3-3-8 timings.
Installation:
Once you have the memory installed, you won't see much of the heatspreader, so once again the camouflage paint doesn't have any impact on my system layout.
