Conclusion:
With tons of small, portable thumb drives available, manufacturers are always looking for the perfect design or some method of setting their offerings apart from the crowd. The OCZ Rally drive is not a radical new design, it does not look significantly different than any other USB 2.0 drive on the market, but then you plug it in and begin to use it. This thing smokes! The transfer times shown in the charts are what this drive is all about. If you want the fastest, sleekest, and most extreme drive currently on the market, this is the one to get.
Is there anything I didn't like about the OCZ Rally? Well, I guess if I had to search for a deficiency it would be the removable (and losable) cap. But the cap is not necessary for use and is such a minor issue.
A quick PriceGrabber search shows the 512MB OCZ Rally runs between $35-$40, a 1GB Rally is twice that at $75-$80, and the big 2GB model is right around $120.
This will be the thumb drive that rides around with me all the time... it's thin, durable, and fast, and for those qualities I award the OCZ Rally thumb drive 5 out of 5 stars... "Highly Recommended".
Final Rating (5 out of 5 stars):
Pros:
• Fastest on the market
• Thin
• Aluminum not plastic
• Did I mention FAST
• Reasonable price for the Best
Cons:
• Removable cap
