Hauppauge MediaMVP Networked Media Player
|
In Use (continued):
Next is the menu for Music. This is the view I would have preferred been used throughout the menus. While you do not get to see more folders in this view, it just looks cleaner to me. In the second picture you can see the list of the music files. I played MP3s of varying bitrate, as well as WMA files, and all of these played flawlessly. While you are playing a song you can continue to use the MediaMVP and select pictures or browse through your music. Also, if you have playlists created, you can allow the MVP to use them so you don't have to select the songs individually.
Finally, we have the menu for the Radio stations, which looks and feels like the other menus. In the list of radio stations you have a slightly different icon next to the stations. Other than that, there is no difference.
The final menu option is Settings. Here you can change many settings for the MediaMVP. In the second picture you can see that you can change what is included in the menus. If you no longer want to have a folder available to the MVP you can change it here (or you can change it on the server machine). You can also designate other directories to be available to the MVP.
Within the settings menu you can also change some of the configuration settings. In the pictures below, you can see what you are able to change with the configuration interface. Using the arrow buttons on the remote you can change these and click the OK button to apply them.
Hauppauge has included a very basic screensaver that is activated after a predetermined time. Here you can see what it looks like when it's activated. It does move around the screen to avoid burn-in so you don't have to worry about that.
