Jing Ting Chipforce JTS-0006 Chipset Cooler

The Basics:
Removing the cooler from the packaging you can immediately see some of the changes. The previous model was nickel plated, where the new model is pure copper. Another change involves the support brackets for the fins. These are also made out of copper, and provide sufficient support to the fins so they do not get pushed out of alignment.
In the second picture, you can see backside of the cooler. Nothing too surprising here, and this is where you can see the only portion of the cooler that is unchanged... the top of the base. This is the exact piece that was on the JTS-0005.
In this view of the top you can see the termination of the heat pipe which has been welded to the fins to provide good heat transfer. You can also see how the fan assembly attaches to the cooler and a second location to attach another fan. If there were additional fan brackets I would be tempted to try it out. If you look closely near the heat pipe termination, there are some scratches in the top fin from where the drilled missed its intended target.
Speaking of the fan assembly, here you can see the front of the 40mm blue LED fan, which is rated at 21dBA. I would have like to have seen a little fan grill on the fan; due to it's position in the case you could get cables into the fan blades rather easily.
