USB flash drives are just about everywhere these days. As the price has come down, and the capacity and speeds have gone up, they have become extremely versatile and indispensable gadgets for countless computer users. But two related problems still exist with USB flash drives... The fact that they are relatively easy to misplace, and once lost your data will now be in the hands of the person who finds the drive.
Although tethers and key rings can help you avoid losing your flash drive in the first place, not much can really be done to eliminate that problem. But, if you do happen to lose your drive, you may want to lose something like the Transcend JetFlash 210. This drive features a finger print scanner on the body that will allow only the owner of the authorized digit to access the protected files on the device. Even if you don't lose it, this could be a great feature for securing sensitive data on your flash drive, as well as elsewhere on your computer system.
This review is going to take a look at the 1GB version of the JetFlash 210, as well as a few of the added features available thanks to the finger print scanner and other interesting bits of software included with the device.
