Software (continued):
One thing to note, the software that was included on the CD was out of date; as is most software you are going to get that comes with a hardware product. So don't waste your time installing the included software, head over to Apple's web site and download the newest version of iTunes.
From here, you will go onto Apple's web site and complete the setup:
Here you will have to create an Apple ID, tell them what product you have, and register it with them. You can then start using iTunes. The nightmare has just begun. I can honestly understand why Apple never had the OS market share they could have. Their iTunes software is honestly one of the worst music management applications I have run into. I have gotten over my initial "it's different" phase, and moved into the "I know how to use it now" phase; and I still don't really like it. Given my choice I would use Microsoft's built-in Windows Media Player 10. Now, before all you Apple heads jump me, just realize this is my opinion. I don't like iTunes, you might. Also iTunes is portable between Apple's OS's and Microsoft OS's so it does have that advantage.
