Packaging:
Like most power supplies, the Enermax Galaxy 1000W power supply comes packaged in a retail box that is designed to grab your attention.
Two of the sides give you a tease of what it is capable of, showing multiple graphics cards, CPUs, and many hard drives. It also specifies that it can handle quad CPUs, quad cores, and quad video, along with 24 hard drives!
One of the other sides gives you detailed information regarding the connections. As you can see in the below left image, they have two types of cables, native and modular. The native cables are hard-wired to the power supply, while the modular ones allow you to choose what to connect. The below right image gives you detailed information on the power supply. This information is mainly in English, but they have also provided the information in smaller text for six other languages.
The two side panels provide some additional information. In the below left image the PowerGuard features are discussed, which utilize not only an LED, but also a buzzer! The addition of a buzzer is perfect, one of my many complaints about putting an LED on the back of the chassis is you can't see it, and normally do not look at the back unless there is an obvious problem. The buzzer will provide you an additional alert that will not require you to constantly look at the back. On the other side panel, you can find the information that is usually located on the power supply.
