It's time to remove the nice silver front cover and install some drives. This is where I encountered my first problem with the case. To remove the front cover you have to really pull from the bottom of the cover and yank it off. I tried with some pressure but it wouldn't come off, you have to force it too much for my liking. I felt like I was going to either crack the cover or jar the area with the USB, Firewire, and audio inputs. I really feel that Cooler Master should have used standard clips instead. I would not feel comfortable removing this front cover frequently.
The front panel is pretty solid and the only airflow comes from the mesh sides. It is almost pointless having a 120mm fan for air intake without proper holes or mesh in the center of the panel. My CDRW drive installed flawlessly and lined up flush with the front of the case.
The motherboard installed as planned; I even used the I/O plate that came with the case. I could not connect the Firewire cable or the audio because the KT7-Raid did not have the capabilities. The 120mm front intake fan plugged right into the motherboard fan connection. It barely was long enough but the standard Molex connector did reach.
The hard drives mounted easily with the tool-less brackets and slid right into slots.
