Cooler Master Centurion 532 Case

Assembly (continued):
I did run into one clearance problem, it seems the Karajan sound module interferes with the 120mm fan I installed in the back of the case. The fan presses down on the top of the sound module and it did take a bit of work to get the 4 fan mount screws started. I have since taken a small file to the outer edge of the fan to give some clearance. The picture on the right shows the AC'97 mic and headphone connector plugged into the Karajan sound module. Although it is nice to have many options on one cable, the additional connectors are somewhat of an eyesore. I managed to hide most of them behind the fan.
Here's where things got a bit tricky. I wanted to reuse the Cooler Master optical drive covers I have been using for years with the Centurion. I thought the silver accents with the black mesh and aluminum bars would look good. I unlatched one of the 5 ¼" bay locks, removed a few of the filter/mesh covers and inserted one of my optical drives with the aluminum face installed. After locking down the tool-less lock, I noticed the face of the drive now sticks out. There is no adjustment when it comes to tool-less designs like this. Lucky for me, Cooler Master put screw slots on the backside of the 5 ¼" bays. I was not able to lock the optical drives down, but I was able to screw them down on one side.
The below left picture shows the optical drives locked down and protruding, while the picture on the right shows both drives screwed down. Below the optical drives you can see the tray and drawer system that holds the Raptor hard drive that contains my operating system. I routinely change out OS drives for testing and benchmarking.
After installing the OCZ power supply and wiring a few things up, it was time to button the case up and make sure everything worked.
