Packaging:
The AuzenTech HDA X-Plosion 7.1 DTS Connect sound card is sold in retail packaging. Each side of the box is filled with enough information to educate the end user on the features and specifications.
Opening the outer box, and then an inner box, I found the sound card packaged in an anti-static bag. While it does not seem to be secured in the box, it was undamaged and still in the proper location.
Under the card I found some accessories that include a user manual, installation CD, TOSLINK fiber optic digital cable, and the standard CD audio cable.
The installation CD does not include many extras, and other than the drivers there are only a few other programs to install. You receive a full feature media player (which does not compare to Winamp or Windows Media Player), a low resolution helicopter audio demo, and finally C-Media's Play3D which is a good demo to show off the sound capabilities.
