Thermaltake Aguila Mid-Tower ATX Case
|
Exterior:
The first thing I noticed is that the Aguila case is very light for its size. The aluminum is light to begin with and is also kind of thin to me (0.8mm). The front of the case has a black mesh top that tapers to solid silver near the bottom, which gives it a unique look that Thermaltake claims is shaped as an eagle. Through the black mesh you can see the drive bays and the power/reset buttons. The back looks pretty standard compared to most of the cases out today. There is space for an ATX power supply and motherboard I/O ports. The standard 120mm fan comes pre-installed, which is a rare occurrence with many cases. Most of the time they will supply an intake fan and let you get the exhaust fan yourself.
The front door swings open to the left but this can be switched to open from the right if that suits you better. The drive bays can also be customized to your liking; the power/reset buttons and 3.5" bay can be moved anywhere. The only thing that can't be moved is the grill for the 120mm fan.
The windowed side shows you almost every component inside the case. If you have a Western Digital Raptor X hard drive you can mount it vertically and watch it spin through the window (requires optional 5.25" to 3.5" adaptor kit).
Here we see the accessories provided with the case. From the top left: 5.25" mounting rails, power supply support bar, cloth (for wiping window I assume), screws and standoffs, manual, plastic inserts for underneath motherboard, and rear I/O panel. On the top center of the box is where the access for USB, Firewire, and audio inputs are provided.
