Arctic Cooling Accelero X1 VGA Cooler
|
Conclusion:
I am impressed by the performance of the Arctic Cooling Accelero X1. It outperforms the previous model, the NV Silencer 5, by a few degrees, and cooled the card much better than the default eVGA cooler. The Accelero X1 would be a great choice to keep your graphics card as cool as possible, especially if overclocking.
This cooler does a great job and the only negative I can come up with is in regards to the heat not being exhausted from the case. However, this is not possible since this cooler is designed for BTX as well as ATX cases. I can not take any points away for this, as Arctic Cooling states this consideration in their specifications.
The Arctic Cooling Accelero X1 can be found at CrazyPC for $29.99 which is quite competitive considering many other online stores carry it for as much as $39.99 at the time of this review. For a graphics card cooler that offers the performance that the Accelero X1 provides, this is not a bad price at all.
Given the performance, and taking the noise from the fan into account, I award the Arctic Cooling Accelero X1 a final score of 4.5 out of 5 stars and the rating of "Recommended".
Final Rating (4.5 out of 5 stars):
Pros:
» Solid performance
» Easy installation
» Complete graphics card and RAM cooling solution
» 6 year warranty
Cons:
» Heat not exhausted from case
» Might not fit in SLI on all motherboards
» No LED fan (personal preference)
