Thermaltake Rhythm HTPC Liquid Cooling System

Components and Accessories:

The Thermaltake Rhythm housing won't do much for you unless it interfaces with your processor. Below we see the rather robust water block designed for use on a variety of processors (Intel P4 LGA 775, P4 Socket 478, AMD K8, AMD K7). The block is solid copper with the same black hoses and hose clamps keeping everything water tight. The top of the block doesn't have the nicest finish, but it doesn't need to, but the bottom is a different story.

The bottom of the water block ships with a blue protective film over it, and when removed reveals an incredibly well polished base. Even the surfaces that won't touch the CPU have a mirror finish that are as smooth as they are flat.

The hoses connected to the water block have a barbed fitting pre-installed, which when assembled will be mounted through a PCI slot expansion plate. These will then be connected to the hoses shown below, which have an unfinished end, as well as an end with a quick connect, no-spill fitting. So, the hose shown below will be 'permanently' affixed to the back of your case, and the white fitting will provide quick access to the matching fittings found attached to the Rhythm's main housing. The white fittings have a button that allows for quick connections, and when executed properly, just a few drops of fluid may escape when disconnected.

The balance of the accessories are shown below. The below left image shows the cooling liquid and a squeeze bottle used to force-feed the liquid into the reservoir. The below right image shows a variety of hardware, a sleeve of thermal paste, power lead to go from your case to the Rhythm unit, an expansion slot bracket to allow power and coolant to pass through, and all of the mounting brackets required to complete an installation on all of the processors mentioned previously.

Below we see the solid aluminum base to be used when standing the Rhythm upright. It slides into the side of the unit, and the lip on the edge of the rails locks it into place on the housing. Rubber strips on the bottom provide a non-slip surface to keep it from moving.

Not shown is the included manual that definitely comes in handy while trying to figure out exactly how to install the Rhythm.
