Super Talent 2GB MEGA Screen MP3/FM/Recorder Player
May 19, 2006

Photo Album:

The Super Talent MEGA Screen can store you favorite pictures as well as your music... and display them too. The only caveat is that the pictures are limited to a size of 128x128 and must be in a special format. I tried saving pictures that had been resized in Adobe PhotoShop CS and saved in JPEG format but they would not show up on the menu to view them. The quality in real life is better than I was able to capture with my skills and photo equipment.

The included mini disk has a software utility to easily convert and resize your pictures so they will fit and be recognized by the MEGA Screen. As you can see by the screen shot below, the software is extremely simple to use and it worked well.

The Ear Buds:

The ear buds that come with the MEGA Screen are as comfortable and well made as any I have seen.. They produced sound quality on par with any ear buds I have ever used, and kind of catch your eye with their two tone black and white color scheme. I did have one complaint though. The cord was too short for my liking. If I put the MEGA Screen in my pants pocket the cord was too short and I was constantly pulling an ear bud out of my ear when I turned my head. The cord would be about perfect if you put the MEGA Screen in a shirt pocket or if it had a strap to hang it around your neck. For me it was very inconvenient as most of my shirts don't have a pocket, which I came to realize using the MEGA Screen the last week or so.

Charging the Battery:

Charging the battery is a simple matter of connecting the MEGA Screen to your PC via the USB cable. It is recommended that you charge the MEGA Screen while it is turned off and the user's manual warned it was not advisable to have the ear buds connected during charging. The manual states charging time is 4 hours but I got the "READY" message on the display after 2 hours and 45 minutes. The manual states a play time of 8 hours. As mentioned before I got nearly 7 hours out of the MEGA Screen as it came right out of the box, and I got well over 8 hours on my next charge on the battery.
