Conclusion:

I am sure you would be hard pressed to find visual shortcomings with the ViewSonic VX2433wm 23.6 Inch DVI/HDMI TFT LCD monitor. With a resolution of 1920x1080 you are able to display the latest HD content, something the majority of smaller monitors are not capable of. The monitor's visual qualities are complimented by the versatility of being able to connect via all three of the most popular connections; HDMI, DVI and VGA.



Disappointment did come in the form of the two built in speakers. My eagerness to connect via HDMI was to take full advantage of HDMI, which includes digital video and audio. The sobering reality is if you intend on using your monitor’s speakers, this one may not be your best option. However, if you are like the vast majority out there and do not need to use these speakers, then this of course would not be an issue.

Presently this monitor is out of stock at Geeks.com, but when they do have inventory the price is $194.99. Geeks.com does have a large selection of other new and refurbished LCD monitors to choose from. If you were specifically looking for an LCD at this size, they do have one other 23" LCD monitor in stock.

Pros:

» Had one dead pixel (could happen with new or refurbished)
