Testing (continued):

AS SSD Benchmark 1.4.3704.27281:

The last benchmark suite to look at is AS SSD, which is geared towards testing the read and write performance of just solid state drives. Results graphed below are all provided in units of MB/s, and higher is better for each. We have sequential read and write tests, as well as read and write tests that utilize 4K random blocks.

The sequential read results are provided below, and we see the 128GB Crucial drive being listed at just below its maximum read speed.

When it comes to sequential writes, we see the RealSSD perform a bit better in comparison to the other drives. 131.08MB/s is a bit shy of its rated maximum, but it is good enough for a solid second place finish.

When looking at 4KB random reads we see all of the solid state drives clustered together in the low 20's (MB/s).

And wrapping things up with 4KB writes forces the Crucial RealSSD C300 to end the review on a down note. 4.74MB/s isn't much to get excited about, and that score is only good enough to be the Seagate Hybrid Drive.
