Testing (continued):

The graph below shows the recorded temperatures at idle. We can see that the superior design of the Prolimatech Megahalems allows it to run more than 10 degrees cooler than even our liquid cooler. What is equally impressive is that even without the benefit of airflow, the Megahalems runs just as cool as many air coolers we thought were pretty darn good. Once again, at idle, the air coolers provided some benefit to the passive Northbridge.



The next graph shows the system under a full load. Once again, the Prolimatech cooler comes out on top even besting the CoolIT Domino ALC liquid cooling unit. The low-speed fan even passes enough air, and at a lower temperature than the other air coolers, to help drop the Northbridge temperature as well. In passive mode (something we REALLY don't recommend) it gets very, very hot and the Intel cooler finally beats something.
