This review is going to take a look at another set of gaming headphones from Kingston's HyperX high-performance product division. We recently covered their studio grade HyperX Cloud Revolvers, and a little over a year ago we covered their original HyperX Cloud pro gaming headset. This time around we have the HyperX CloudX, which are very similar to the Cloud set we looked at in 2015, but this time they are degined and officially licensed for use with XBOX gaming systems.



The CloudX headset is shown in the promotional image above, where we see it follows the typical blueprint, with ample earcups, a padded headband, and a (detachable) boom microphone. This headset will work well with any device that has a typical 1/8 inch stereo jack, including your PC and mobile device... What makes these targeted to XBOX use is that you can plug them in to the XBOX Elite Wireless controller (or other XBOX One controllers with a stereo jack). This way, you do not have to have a cord running all the way back to the console, but just the much more practical distance from your head to your hands!
