Conclusion:

The Chieftec BL-01B Bravo L-Type case with VESA monitor mount surprised me. I was expecting it to be just another gimmick to try to get attention. While the design of the case is not for everybody, I can see many places where this would be perfect; a college dorm, a small apartment, virtually any place that you are restricted by space.

The interior of the case is spacious, however it does not provide an abundance of extra space for things like drives and excess cabling. Hiding extra power cables is difficult, and a modular power supply would be recommended for use with this case. On the plus side, you should have plenty of room to install any modern video card.

This case provides everything a case should. It is well built and stylish enough to not look out of place. However, I would like to see a few things included; such as a media card reader, eSATA ports, and perhaps some small exhaust fans. Finally, some tool-less expansion slots would be a nice touch.

A price check shows the Chieftec BL-01B Bravo case sells for $69.99 at Xoxide, which is $5 less than what the competition (Newegg.com) offers it for. For a well built mid-tower case, this is definitely a competitive price.

If you are interested in a setup that is a bit out of the ordinary, I would have no issues recommending the Chieftec BL-01B Bravo L-Type case with VESA monitor mount. The unique concept, quality features, and appealing price help the Chieftec BL-01B Bravo L-Type case with VESA monitor mount earn the Bigbruin.com "Great Idea" and "Recommended" awards.
