Testing (continued):

PT Boats - Knights of the Sea:

PT Boats - Knights of the Sea is a 3D game that also happens to include a DirectX 10 benchmark. The benchmark provides results in terms of a minimum, maximum, and average frame rate value, and higher is better for all three. Testing was conducted at a resolution of 1680x1050 with 8x anti-aliasing. The Atomic 4870 X2 dominates in this test.

Devil May Cry:

Devil May Cry is another 3D game that includes a benchmark to test the DirectX 10 performance. The benchmark runs through four scenes from the game and outputs the average frame rate values achieved in each one (higher is better). The results in the chart below were achieved at a resolution of 1360x1024 (the highest it would go) and with 8x anti-aliasing. While the Atomic 4870 X2 generally does better here, it is not by much and in Scene 1 it actually comes in second to the 4850 X2.
