Oh you can run it fine. I'm using a PowerPC G4 @867Mhz and it's running great. I don't get slowdown for other programs or anything. I can't say I'm contributing an awful lot to Folding, but at least a little bit I am. |

If I was about to buy a new system nowadays, I wouldn't choose differently!
Great selection of parts!
The only this I'd change, but it's just a slight 'upgrade', is that I'd personally take the Gigabyte X58-UD5, or if you plan on overclocking, even the Gigabyte X58-Extreme!
I guess you already have a case, but if not, I'd go with a CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000 one! _________________ Intel Quad-Core Q6600 G0 @3.4GHz (8x425)

@shushruck
I do do quite alot of gaming oplus, adobe CS$ utilises GPU power awell and i use that alot for my work
@zachig
From what ive read the UD4P actually came out after the UD5 and there doesnt really seem to be any differences between them. Why you think it would he better at overclocking??
And i dont have a case but i quite like the look of the Xclio Windtunnel Extreme as its a reasonable price and i can get away with only a couple of fans in it. I wasnt even going to get an exhaust fan. Just let the 2 25cm fans do all the work lol. _________________ Coolermaster HAF 932 II Coolermaster Real Power M1000 II Gigabyte EX58-UD5 II i7 920 @ 3.2Ghz II Corsair H100 CPU Cooler II 24gb Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz II 2x MSI GTX 460 Hawk Talon Attack SLI II Corsair F240 SSD II 2x3Tb Seagate (RAID0) II 1Tb Seagate 7200.12 II 1.5Tb Seagate 7200.11 II Pinoneer BluRay Writer |

Oh, I see. The Xclio Windtuneel Extreme looks like a GREAT case. I must admit I've never heard about Xclio cases before...
Regarding the UD4P, I didn't know it came out after the UD5, and if so, maybe a very small time after the UD4P, as I think that Gigabyte relaed all their X58 mobo more-or-less at the same time. I just remember I read somehwere that the UD5 allows better overclocking...
Whether that's the case or not, I'm pretty sure the UD4P will do a fantastic job as well!
But again, like I said before, if you plan on massive overclocking and you think on watercooling solution, you might take into consideration the X58-Extreme, which features (ann optional) waterblock for the NB. _________________ Intel Quad-Core Q6600 G0 @3.4GHz (8x425)
