The state had no electricity.
The State had no money
Almost everyone spoke Spanish.
There were gun fights in the streets.

So basically, it hasn't changed much! Yikes

Actually there is a 10 yr plan to build 13 new power plants. I am not sure but I think 2 or 3 are already up and running.

13 more?? With the way Cali is growing, that should be just enough to allow everyone to turn on (1) 60w lightbulb.

You gotta figure Cali is already under powered. If you're importing power from other states or Canada (like NY), then the number you have now needs doubled just for today's needs up to 5 years.

I think the whole power shortage of a year or two ago (cant even remember now) was a planned thing to drive prices up and make a few rich people even richer. Anyway I have been here for over 10yrs now and the lights have always come on and no one even talks about the power shortages anymore. You guys just keep hating CA tho because the one thing we dont need is any more people Grin
