Yeah, HD4850 will be just fine if you don't want to spend too much on a Video Card.
The 9800GT is equal (more or less) in performance to the HD4850. I'd personally go with a 9800GT if I had to choose between the two.
In case you go with a 9800GT, take into consideration that the old' 8800GT is actually the same card as the 9800GT (the 9800GT is just a rebranded 8800GT), so if you're a bit tight on budget you can always try and get a 2nd-hand/used 8800GT and save some money, while getting the same performance as a new 9800GT. |

For the price that you're looking at and the res that you're playing at, I'd jump on a 4870. The prices have come down to the $150 range here lately with the release of the 4890's........... _________________ "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe."........Albert Einstein |

Yeah, that can be a very good choice to go with the 4870 as it is a good-bang-for-the-buck and offers almost the same performance as the new 4890.
Regarding the price of a 4870, the cheapest I've seen costs around $175 (newegg), so I'm not sure about the $150 price tag, but even then, the price difference between the 4870 ($175) to the 4850 (~$135) is 'only' $40 bucks, so in this case, I personally think it's better to go with the 4870, if one can afford the extra $40 bucks. _________________ Intel Quad-Core Q6600 G0 @3.4GHz (8x425)
