My 7 month old Boxer puppy(90 lbs puppy) was hit by a car. Some @a$$h0le was going too fast got in the gravel and ran off the road, and hit my puppy in my yard. @sshole didnt even stop. And I would have put him down but the vet stated he would make a full recovery. He had 2 broken front legs and a broken jaw. I paid a grand, and my aunt gave my daughter $1200, I am allowed to make payments on the rest. Most people think I am crazy, but I figured there was at least one person out there who would sympathize with me.

In a case like that I would have done the same thing. Somebody dumped Bob over our fence under the cover of darkness when he was about 4 months, he's now a bit over 3 years. He has proven to be a great protector, very loyal dog. He takes care of us so we should take care of him. Now granted if it was going to be a temporary fix I would not do it. When you find that @sshole that did that you can make him/her pay for the vet bill.

Yeah I know what the truck looks like, but the sheiff that also saw it was to worried about the dog to get a license plate number. All he could do is call in and say if a truck matching the description called into to report damage to call him immediately. And if I found the guy he would do more then pay the vet bill!!! Mad Censored

Gotta love being a lab rat huh? But seriously, are you better now?

Pretty good, not fixed, but way better. I just my 5th week of being back to work full time, after 84 weeks on disability (26 weeks full disability and 58 weeks working 4-30 hours/week).

And even with all that was done to me, my wife having a baby, and all the usual doctor visits and prescriptions... I only spent $2300 out of pocket on medical expenses in 2007! Half a dog, at best.

That's okay, but it is not just me to think about. I got this particular dog for my 7 year old Autistic son. This dog has done wonders for him. So to us he IS family.
